They don't just understand you. They've been you.

TeenSide connects teens and young adults with coaches who are 21–29, close enough to remember the pressure, the anxiety, the identity questions. Not to lecture. To guide.

The Genius Generation

Your coach is 21–29. Not far removed from where you are.

Every coach on TeenSide was hand-selected from the Genius Generation: young adults who've recently navigated anxiety, identity questions, family pressure, and the noise of growing up in a world with no off switch. They're not guessing what it feels like. They know.

They're also trained in the TeenSide BRIDGE Method, a structured coaching framework designed to turn lived experience into real, transformational guidance.

Who we are

We're not here to do ordinary work.

TeenSide was founded by two women who between them have raised ten children, worked directly with teens in crisis, and watched a generation struggle without the right kind of support. They built what they wished had existed.

Elizabeth Crapo, CSW

Founder & Licensed Therapist

“I guide and support our coaches in understanding their vital role while ensuring clients are connected to licensed mental health professionals when appropriate. Real help means knowing the difference.”

Mother of six. Background in clinical social work, life coaching, and curriculum development. She built the training frameworks that every TeenSide coach learns. With a Master of Social Work and years of experience guiding individuals in medical and clinical settings, Elizabeth brings both the warmth of a mother and the rigour of a licensed professional to everything TeenSide does.

Merideth Maynes

Founder & Educator

“I believe the TeenSide coaches are the Genius Generation — mentors uniquely equipped with emotional awareness and lived experience that help BRIDGE the growing gap between today's teens and the world they're navigating.”

Single mother of four. Educator and life coach who understands both sides: the parent carrying quiet worry and the teen navigating it alone. As a founder, Merideth brings a deep understanding of what today's parents fear and what today's teens actually need — and she built TeenSide to bridge that exact gap through coaches who feel less like authority figures and more like trusted, older friends.

I spent most of high school terrified to raise my hand in class. Now I help teens find the version of themselves that isn't afraid to take up space. I get it because I've been there — recently.

I was the student who had everything on paper and nothing inside. I coach teens navigating the pressure to be perfect — grades, college apps, all of it.

Figuring out who you are when everyone has an opinion about it is hard. I help teens and young adults sort through the noise and build something they actually feel good about.

“My daughter finally opened up, not because her coach was a professional with credentials, but because her coach was 24 and actually remembered what 16 feels like.”
